ROCHESTER — The Rochester founder of Creative Little Leaders, Kelly Gagliardi, has been looking for young leaders to help teach other children leadership skills. When she found an exemplar in Hingham boy, Owen Colley, she decided to put her volunteers or “kindness army” to work helping him on Feb. 1.
Owen’s effort seems to fit with the mission of Creative Little Leaders, “empowering and educating children to embrace their creativity in becoming leaders of kindness within their families and communities,” Gagliardi said.
In a show of how the Rochester network works, the library also invited Kelly Gagliardi and her new company Creative Little Leaders to put on an activity at the fair.
She wants her company to be a platform to make a difference in the community. Gagliardi is still developing learning materials for Creative Little Leaders, but to start off wanted advice from Selectmen about another project of hers: a plan to distribute 5,000 bags with materials to encourage kindness.
